Device Awareness & Support (TAIDOC Devices)

How PCAs can support safe and proper use of home monitoring devices.

PCAs observe, encourage, and report β€” they do not interpret readings.

Blood Pressure Monitor

Support the patient with proper cuff placement and arm positioning to help ensure readings are taken correctly and sent through the Patient App.

Blood Glucose Meter

Encourage hand hygiene, safe test strip handling, and proper disposal while the patient records their blood sugar reading in the Patient App.

Pulse Oximeter

Help ensure the patient’s finger is clean, warm, and still so oxygen readings can be captured accurately and uploaded through the Patient App.

Digital Thermometer

Assist with proper thermometer placement, cleaning after use, and confirming temperature readings are recorded in the Patient App.

Digital Weight Scale

Ensure the scale is placed on a flat surface and the patient is steady so weight measurements can be taken consistently and synced to the Patient App.

PCAs support device use. Nurses review and interpret results.
